*THIS IS NOT A WATCH PARTY*

On January 1st, 2022, the first Winnie-the-Pooh book went into the public domain in the US, and a little over a year later, the titular mascot of a child-friendly book series and film/TV franchise found himself starring in a slasher horror film.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is the first entry of the Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU), a shared universe of slasher horror parodies starring protagonists most commonly associated with family-friendly, Disney movies.

Despite strong negative critical reception, this reimagined continuation of the original Winnie-the-Pooh story was a commercial success, paving the way for its sequel and the aforementioned TCU.

Is this truly one of the worst pictures ever made, according to some critics? Is this a testament to the potential that comes with removing intellectual property rights? Is it a bit of both? Probably, but let's discuss...
