Christmas Cartoon Night Double Feature (VIRTUAL WATCH PARTY)
Details
These movies will be streamed within our private Discord server, and the link to the server will be shared in the Zoom call. You are not required, however, to join the server. You can watch along with us on your own device.
I imagine most of us grew up watching well-known animated Christmas/Holiday movies and TV shows, and it can evoke quite the nostalgic feeling to revisit these cartoons as adults.
With that being said, why don't we check out two animated Christmas specials that may give us that nostalgia... along with some other feelings?
For this double feature, we have (1) Grandma's Got Run Over by a Reindeer (2000), a film adaptation of the 1979 song of the same name, and (2) Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa (2002), a peculiarly animated musical that nearly became lost media until its director uploaded a copy onto Vimeo in 2015.
Titles: Grandma's Got Run Over by a Reindeer (2000) & Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa (2002)
Directors: Phil Roman (Grandma's Got Run Over by a Reindeer) & Colin Slater (Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa)
Starring: Economically Efficient Animation, An Incompetent Legal System, The Legitimate Voices of Disney Princesses, A Catchy and Ill-Fitting Song about "Suing the Pants Offa' Santa"
