Let's continue our series of In-Person Discussion Groups with a conversation about a 2018 film by Dan Fogelman, whose credits include the screenplays of Cars, Bolt, Tangled, and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
He's also the creator of NBC's This Is Us, a TV show that explored the interconnected, nonlinear narratives of a single family over multiple decades, and Life Itself attempts to do a similar task but in the form of a single, 2-hour psychological drama.
This movie released to strong negative reception for its screenplay and direction, but could the critics have been too harsh on this?
I'll try to secure us a table on the top floor outside at Boxyard RTP, but if the weather doesn't look too good, I may move the disucssion to a nearby coffee shop. Also, we'll set aside the first 20 minutes or so for folks to order food/drinks before we get to the disucssion.
