Feeling creatively stuck or caught in old habits? This playful online workshop helps you look your creative process in the face — gently, honestly, and with a sense of humour.

Using a set of innovative 'Bad Art Block' Creative Prompt Cards, we’ll explore how intentional drawing can reawaken curiosity, loosen perfectionism, and reconnect us to the joy of making.

Each session includes fast-paced drawing prompts, reflective expansion rounds, and a group discussion to help us see that creative struggle is universal — and often the birthplace of new ideas.

You don’t need to “know how to draw” — this isn’t about making good art, it’s about getting to know yourself as a creator. The materials you use don’t matter much; what matters is showing up, experimenting, and learning to trust your process.

What to expect:
🎨 Guided prompt rounds to break through creative ruts
💬 Reflective discussion and community connection
🌀 A safe, supportive environment to take risks and play
✏️ Bring Your Own materials — use whatever you love (pencil, pen, paint, iPad, etc.) and something to draw on. Bare in mind, we will be doing a few drawings so have a few surfaces at the ready!

Join us for a casual weekly meetup at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens.
An opportunity to create out in nature in the company of the beautiful Brisbane creative community. Bring your own project (I like to do free-drawing out in nature),
There’s no agenda, no facilitation — just a chance to connect with others and make art side by side. And most importantly, there is no expectation that you be 'good' at art/drawing either.

We will meet out front of the library/auditorium, near the main carpark, then we will head into the park as a group and choose somewhere suitable to get comfortable and create. Weather conditions and personal preferences will impact where we go so I figured this would be the most flexible approach.

If you are running late and we aren't there by the time you arrive, just give me a call and I'll send you a location pin :)
