A pleasant hike in Franklin Canyon Park

We will walk up the entrance road, over to a dirt trail that leads down into the canyon, then up the Hastain trail to the top and back again. This is a beautiful and in places overgrown route with some nice views and a moderate amount of climbing. Be prepared for a small amount of steep climbing.

Parking in the neighborhood is usually pretty easy. We will meet at the entrance gate at or before 9am and leave promptly at 9:05.

As with any hiking meetup group, the leader is a volunteer and all fellow hikers assume responsibility for their own safety.

Please be advised that if you are a no-show (RSVP yes but don't show up) three times, you will be removed from the group. If you can't make it to an event, take a moment to switch your RSVP from "yes" to "no." Thank you.
