Sunset Dance Party

This is a community dance party featuring mostly electronic dance music (but not festival-style "EDM"). DJs will be playing house, disco, funk, and more.

We're a group of DJs and friends who decided to throw a gathering for ourselves that we thought was missing from Orange County nightlife. We've got room for a few more folks to join us!

About Us
This group is for anyone (age 21+) who believes in the power of movement, music, and shared moments to bring people together. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just love to move, you're invited to join us in person, on the dancefloor, to connect, express yourself, and build meaningful relationships through dance.

Why Dance?
Dancing is more than steps or styles — it’s a universal language of connection. When we dance together, we break down barriers, spark joy, and create a sense of belonging. It's an invitation to be present, to move freely, and to celebrate the rhythms that unite us.

What to Expect
We host regular gatherings that range from community dance parties and pop-up outdoor sessions to DJ lessons and lectures about dance culture. Every meetup is designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and rooted in the belief that dancing side by side helps us grow closer, one beat at a time.

This specific event is a four-hour dance party. It's simple: dance music + people dancing!

Because we're managing RSVPs here, on Facebook, and on Resident Advisor, the RSVP count here on Meetup does not reflect the total attendee population.

We're trying to cultivate a vibe and therefore have a few guidelines we're hoping you can agree with:

(1) Must be age 21+

(2) All are welcome. Hatred of any kind (racism, bigotry, homophobia, etc.) won't be tolerated.

(3) The dancefloor is for dancing. Please limit conversation and take phone use off the dancefloor.

(4) Come dressed to express and dance. Check the weather beforehand. The dance surface is gravel (sensible dancing shoes recommended!).

(5) Parking is limited. Please follow parking instructions (that will be mailed to you) carefully.
