The Story Behind the Bonfire
The Füdlibürger is a symbolic figure blamed for all the mishaps of the past year. After a humorous public “trial,” he is ceremonially burned — a ritual that represents letting go, starting fresh, and diving headfirst into carnival madness.

Dress warm, wear comfortable shoes, and be ready for noise, crowds, and lots of carnival energy.
