About the coach
Carl is a qualified Badminton England coach and ran a junior coaching club in the UK for 2 years, as well as commissioned by a government campaign to provide schools with coaching. He has played competitively in the UK and has been running an advanced club in Bangkok since 2014 (Badzone Advanced). He has been coaching adults in groups and 1-2-1 in Bangkok for 10 years. This is not a full-time job, just an enjoyable sideline.
How is the coaching undertaken?
One hour personal coaching sessions for beginners up to league/club standard. Rapid skills progression explaining the basics of movement, shots and tactics up to drills and shot sequences. You will do something new each hour and see improvement after just a few hours, getting fitter and faster in the process. If you want to improve your game so you can play stronger in meetup groups it's ideal. You may also book for a small group of 2-3 people at the same time.
Where is it and how do I reserve?
Midweek evening hours will now be available only at Suan Luang badminton court (Chalermprakiat road). This is a 15 min taxi ride from On Nut BTS station or Tab Chang airport link station.
Saturday mornings 10-1pm are held at Sakolpan Sports Club, Phra Kanong soi 42.
Sunday evenings 5-7pm are held at 71 Sports Club, Phra Kanong soi 41.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
The cost is 850 baht per hour for one persone expensive air conditioned court). Any extra person for the session is 100 baht. This includes the court booking fee and shuttles. A discount can be given for a block of 10+ lessons. You can book week by week at various times if preferred. Payment can be made at the court in cash or bank transfer.
Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel evening bookings please give 2 days notice - otherwise if the club cannot fill the hour the charge will be 280 baht for the client. If they can fill that hour with other players, no charge.
