Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint circular
Details
A 9-mile circular walk from the east side of Hassocks Train Station, via Hurstpierpoint. From Hassocks we traverse along the Cinder Path into Butcher's Wood. From the bottom of Clayton Hill, we will cross the road to New Way Lane then take a long. slow, steady climb up Wolstonbury Hill to take in the views and a comfort break. We will then make the gentle descent back to New Way Lane, cross some farmland then stop at Hurstpierpoint for a lunch stop with more views! The last part of the walk will take us across Danny Estate Park into Hurstpierpoint then back to through various lanes. Finally, we can enjoy refreshments at The Hassocks Pub. Dogs must be on leads due to the high number of livestock in fields. The walk is accessible by train from Brighton (9.56) via Hove (10.05) and Preston Park (10.10) arriving Hassocks at 10.17.

The Brighton and Hove Group of The Ramblers and its leaders accept no responsibility for any claims arising from the activities of the group. All walk leaders must be fully paid-up members of the Ramblers Association.
All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and rambling is no exception. In spite of the safety of members being the paramount concern, accidents will occasionally occur. It is important, therefore, that when entering into the activity, each member appreciates that they have a responsibility to identify the hazards and take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.
