Duncton Hanger and Lavington Common - 9 miles
Details
A circular, largely flat walk which takes us across the wooded commons of Duncton, Lavington and Graffham. We will stop at the village memorial for a picnic lunch, there is a pub close by for those who would like a drink.
After lunch we head south towards the bottom of the Downs where we begin a VERY STEEP ascent to the top of the downs. If the skies are clear, you will be glad you made the effort as we will be close to one of the highest points on the South Downs where the views are superb.
The walk continues along the top of the Downs before dropping down to Burton Park where there is a beautiful church with Norman origins. Those interested can have a look inside.
Cars required.

The Brighton and Hove Group of The Ramblers and its leaders accept no responsibility for any claims arising from the activities of the group. All walk leaders must be fully paid-up members of the Ramblers Association.
All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and rambling is no exception. In spite of the safety of members being the paramount concern, accidents will occasionally occur. It is important, therefore, that when entering into the activity, each member appreciates that they have a responsibility to identify the hazards and take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.
