Arundel Circular - 9.5 miles

This 9.5-mile circular walk starts from the Mill Road car park, Arundel. The morning part of the walk roughly follows the Arun River to Houghton Bridge, where we will stop for a picnic lunch. There are two cafes/pubs where you can get additional refreshments, such as cake or a drink. The afternoon section of the walk joins the Monarch's Way on the west side of the Arun River, before entering Arundel Park. There is a steep climb (with rewarding views) followed by undulating open country. We will exit the Park near the ice cream kiosk, where we can enjoy a post walk ice cream or cold drink. The meeting point is the Museum at Mill Road car park. Parking costs £5 and payment may be made by card or via the Sippi app. There is also free parking along Mill Road but you may have a longish walk back to the starting point. There is a train but it is quite a long journey (8.30am from Brighton, changing at Ford at 9.17am, arriving Arundel 9.54am).

We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
