Next Generation Mixer at SVA

Details

You are invited to SVA IxD’s studio for a night of learning, listening, and providing valuable insight for the next generation of design and research leaders. You will hear about topics that range from voting/civic engagement, to helping small service design businesses in NYC survive and thrive gentrification, to music and multi-sensory design, and possibly test some early prototypes, all while interacting with some amazing students who will deeply value the feedback you can provide from your experience and knowledge as a professional out in the wilds of the design/research world.

Following the feedback session, there will be an opportunity to network with the students to share how you might approach and solve for challenges faced when working on a large complex project.

About SVA IxD

The School of Visual Arts Interaction Design program trains graduate students to research, analyze, prototype, and design concepts in their business, social, and cultural contexts. In essence, it trains them to be well balanced and multi-disciplinary. They leave the program well prepared to make an impact immediately wherever they take their skillset and generally move into leadership positions within a few years.

Throughout the second year of the program, students rigorously research, design, test and iterate until their thesis is prepared for a final presentation. Getting feedback is an essential part of this process.

This will be a free event, but we will leave out a donation jar to help cover the costs of refreshments.

Hope to see you there for an amazing night!
