What we’re about
About Us - Start your Sunday mornings with good company and a refreshing walk! Our group has been gathering for years for the Merry-Go-Round Walk — a friendly, welcoming tradition for all who enjoy fresh air, conversation, and a bit of exercise.
When & Where - We meet every Sunday at 8:15 AM in front of the Carousel at the entrance to the San Diego Zoo (intersection of Zoo Pl. and Park Blvd.). Please arrive a few minutes early for sign-in, as we do leave right on time. Parking is generally available in the lot just north of the Carousel.
The Walk - Length & Duration: About 3 hours, typically 8–9 miles
Routes: Choose between a moderate (shorter) route or a moderate-plus (longer, more varied) route
Break Stop: Usually near Seaport Village, where we pause for coffee at Starbucks before heading back to the Balboa Park carousel.
