Bali Bamboo Meetup Group

A casual bamboo social and making group in Bali for anyone interested in bamboo, design and hands on creative work.

We gather in a relaxed bamboo space where people can sit together, make small bamboo models, explore simple joinery ideas and share conversations around bamboo as a material. The focus is on making, discussion and learning through direct interaction with materials and with each other.

The group was created as a way to bring together people from different backgrounds who are curious about bamboo and interested in sharing ideas, experiences and perspectives. Some people come from architecture, design and construction, while others are simply curious and want to learn more. The intention is to create an open and welcoming environment where people can connect, make new friends and exchange knowledge in an informal and creative setting.

Participants are encouraged to bring something they would like to share with the group. This could be an image, a story, a building they have stayed in, a project they are designing, a material experiment, a technique, an innovation or simply an idea that interests them.

This group is open to architects, designers, builders, students, families and anyone curious about bamboo, whether experienced or completely new.

No formal experience is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to take part.

Meetups take place in Munggu, Bali, where people gather through making, conversation and shared interest in bamboo.
