Bio:
Vijay Nadkarni is a Developer Community Advocate at Confluent, where he helps the Confluent user community and the wider Kafka developer community thrive.
Vijay’s wide work experience spans from software development, including building multimedia applications on DSP chips to consumer brands sales. He is interested in cloud-native architectures and loves to experiment on his k8s cluster in his home lab.

Kafka Tutorial Workshop: Building your first Kafka producer application

Abstract:
This event will walk you through a tutorial that shows you how to create your first producer application for Apache Kafka, in Java. We will address how to try Confluent Cloud for free, installing the confluent CLI, creating your first cluster, and writing a simple Java program that produces sample data to a topic in the cluster.
