Welcome to Sci-Fi & Dog Walks – the meetup where geeky humans and their four-legged co-pilots explore parks, trails, and the occasional wormhole together!
Whether your dog is a loyal Chewbacca, a mischievous Gremlin, or just really likes treats shaped like the Enterprise, this is the place for you. We combine relaxed dog walks with unapologetic sci-fi nerdery: think casual strolls followed by (or during) lively chats about Dune prophecies, the ethics of replicants, the latest season of Strange New Worlds, or why the new Doctor Who episode absolutely did (or did not) respect canon.
What to expect:
- Dog-friendly trails and parks (leashes required, cleanup mandatory – we’re civilized sci-fi fans)
- Themed walks (e.g., “Walk Like a Xenomorph,” “Jedi Training Paws,” “Redshirt Memorial Loop”)
- Post-walk coffee/beer debriefs to argue about the best Star Trek captain or whether Arrival made you cry harder than your dog’s puppy eyes
- Zero judgment if your dog barks during someone’s deep analysis of Blade Runner 2049
All sci-fi flavors welcome: books, movies, TV, games, comics, anime – if it’s set in space, time-traveled, post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk, or involves alternate dimensions, we’re talking about it.
Dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and fictional allegiances are welcome (as long as they play nicely). Humans must love both dogs AND sci-fi – no exceptions.
Come for the exercise and fresh air, stay for the debates about whether the Culture minds would actually like fetch.
