Luggala

Luggala forms one side of a spectacular glacial valley overlooking Lough Tay.
We descend for 25 mins into the valley from the Pier Gates & then start a steep 90 minute climb before picnicking at the top. There is an option to proceed for another 20 minutes to a platform overlooking a beautiful castellated mansion on the white sand beach of the lake.
We then return to the cars via the same route.

While a good fitness level is required, the pace of the walk will be moderate.

Meeting point is Marlay Park car park (overflow car park) on Grange Road. We will car share for the drive to Wicklow.

Essential equipment:
- Hiking boots (no trainers)
- Waterproof jacket and overtrousers
- Fleece or jumper

Bring water and food for lunch on the mountain.
