Throughout the session, we will:
- Learn common scenarios for real-time serverless messaging.
- Evaluate an existing project that implements an old polling-based approach.
- Update an application architecture to support push technologies with SignalR Service and Azure Functions.
- Build our serverless functions using Java that interacts with no-SQL Azure Cosmos DB, we use JavaScript and Vue.js for the client web app.
2. Planning and Administering Microsoft Azure for SAP Workloads
As an experienced Azure professional, it is essential to have a solid understanding of the partnership between SAP and Microsoft, as well as the relevant terminology and architecture.
In this presentation, you will gain insight into the expanded partnership that enables you to seamlessly run fully supported SAP applications on Azure for various scenarios, including development, testing, and production.
Furthermore, you will learn about the various options and benefits of leveraging SAP solutions on Azure, and how they can be integrated with other Microsoft components.
3. Gather App: evolution from Monolith to SOA in scope of a small startup
A story about application evolution. From the general idea to the number of features from business perspective. From one monolith web api to the number of Rest, Win and WebSocket services in scope of SOA.
We will talk about:
1. What is the technology stack used.
2. Monolith as an architecture decision for the start of the project when no clear number of business feature is known. How this application should be organized for making transition to different architectures painless.
3. Why Monolith stopped to be an acceptable solution.
4. How transition to SOA was organized and why SOA was chosen. What the new technologies were added.
5. Where we are now? What the problems the application has? What it is next?
6. Q&A in case of any.
