ice skating outdoors at Quiet Water Park in Annapolis
in the afternoon, say 13:00 to 15:00 ? with optional hike through the park and/or coffee/tea/chocolate at the concession afterwards.
large rink with all skill levels skating at the same time
dress warm and wear gloves (ski-type are suggested)
the park is dog-friendly, but pets are not allowed on the ice.
being a cold-temperature outdoor activity, rainy or warm weather cancels (sorry)
details:
the park is in Annapolis at 130 Hillsmere Dr.
park admission is 6 USD/car/day; plenty of parking near the ice skating area. follow the road from the entry booth to park headquarters; the ice rink is on the right, the parking lot is on the left
skating fee is 7 USD/person ; skate rental is 3 USD/person (not clear if these cost are per-day or per-session)
sessions start every hour on the hour and last 2 hours
directions from anywhere: get on Hwy 50; take the offamp to rt 665 (Aris Allen Blvd) and follow it when it becomes Forest Drive; after a couple miles look for a traffic light and a Exxon gas station on the right; turn right on Hillsmere dr.; there is a sign pointing to the park as you approach the intersection; the take the first street on the right to the park.
