Righting the Wrongs of the Past and Present: Re-Envisioning Youth Justice in MD

The BJCC will be one of the co-sponsors of the Jews United for Justice special Martin Luther King Day program centered on youth justice. The event aims to address critical issues such as reducing incarceration rates among young people and creating a safer environment for children and teenagers.

There will be a video presentation introducing the topic of youth justice and its significance in today's society and a panel discussion featuring experts who will explore the challenges and potential solutions related to youth incarceration, with a particular focus on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring legacy in the fight for justice.

The program will include a call to action in support of legislation in the 2026 Maryland General Assembly session.
