Little Gunpowder North Side Trail

I have hiked this trail (Amy's Trail - pretty flat) a few times & there's a loop so we don't have to do an out & back, however, the part that isn't recorded here (Cat & Mouse Trail) has some small hills. If anyone doesn't want to do the small hills, they can turn around & hike back the way we came. We would probably meet at the intersection where we would turn to go back to the parking lot. Although, I plan on hiking the hills at a relatively slow pace so as to watch my footing. According to the numbers on the AllTrails map, it would still be a 1.7 mile hike (0.2 + 0.7 + 0.8). The first half of the trail will take us along the Gunpowder river on the opposite side of the bank from the Little Gunpowder Trail. If I bring Cody, I plan on allowing him to go swimming for a few minutes to stay cool at the beginning, maybe the middle, & near the end (marked on my picture of the map with Xs).

Enjoy this 1.7-mile out-and-back trail near Fork, Maryland. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 33 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

The parking and trailhead is on the northbound side of Route 147 (Harford Road). You will pass another parking lot and trailhead on the southbound side shortly before you come to this one. The southbound lot will take you to the southside version of this trail as well as the quarry trail. This trail is not marked but it easy to follow as it is well maintained.
