Join a PRSP volunteer ranger to hike the Patuxent River valley.
Guided Hikes at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Discover the natural forces that shaped the upper Patuxent River valley. Using a stream table, we’ll demonstrate how water and erosion have sculpted this unique landscape over time. Then, join us for a guided hike along the river to observe these features in person and see how the valley continues to evolve. Bring water shoes and be prepared to get wet!
You will meet the ranger at PRSP Nature Center. I do not know the length of the hike, but I can try to find out. Water or some form of liquid hydration is a must! Long pants / leggings and hiking boots are highly recommended. This event is probably good for kids, but I can double check that as well.
The nature center is open from 10am to 4pm if you wish to check it out.
