Men's Circle at BPS

At BPS, our Men's Circle is designed to provide a deliberately safe and supportive space for anyone who identifies as a man, whether cisgender, transgender, or anyone shaped by societal expectations of masculinity, regardless of gender identity. Hyun and Gabe will facilitate these meetings, and we will offer two in-person sessions and one online session each month.
This is not an integration circle, but you are welcome to share any thoughts or challenges you've encountered in this space.
Why This Space Exists
Our society often fails to offer men a space for emotional support, vulnerability, and self-reflection. We believe such a space is essential—a place to explore the balance between our sacred masculine and sacred feminine energies, understand their relationship, and accept them without shame.
This is a space to express openly, share what we face, and receive support. Topics like relationships, grief, depression, love, trauma, anger, and joy can bring up deep emotions. Men need a place to experience and express these emotions without the pressure to suppress them.
We both understand firsthand how difficult it can be to unlearn the conditioning that tells us to "be strong" and to suppress, suppress, suppress. This men's circle provides a compassionate, judgment-free, and accepting environment for all attendees.
We may also incorporate gentle movement and breathing exercises to help settle into the space. The circle is open to men of all races, ages, backgrounds, sexualities, and experiences.
Event Details
Attendance is free.
The in-person session will be held at St. Luke's Church on the Avenue, in the room directly behind the main sanctuary.
Meetings will begin with introductions, guidelines, and a grounding exercise to help us all settle in.
Masks are optional—please wear whatever makes you comfortable, and be mindful of others' boundaries.
Chairs are available, but feel free to bring your seating.
A Note on Support
We want to be clear that we are not therapists, psychologists, or psychiatrists. We are simply individuals who believe in the power of support and community. We aim to normalize vulnerability and encourage men to seek help when they need it.
By creating a space where men can initiate their healing process, we aim to promote positive change for ourselves, our families, our friends, and our communities.
If you choose to join us, we encourage you to come with an open heart and mind.
