Baltimore Travel Community: Fort McHenry Cherry Blossoms
Details
Who doesn't love the start of spring with cherry blossoms? Join the Baltimore Travel community for a morning walking around Fort McHenry and trying to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
We will meet at the front of the fort for introductions and signin. After everyone has arrived / 10:15 AM, we walk around the outside of Fort McHenry on the 0.9 mile seawall trail. The trail is paved and noted as easy, so comfortable walking sneakers are recommended. Based on current predictions we will see the cherry blossoms in full bloom around the fort and harbor. Ample time will be given for pictures during the walk with two or three stops around the groves.
If you wish to go inside of Fort McHenry please do so before or after this event and purchase your ticket separately ($15). For those who wish to hangout after, Diamond Back Brewery is a great local spot for beer and pizza.
To get here there is public transportation with the free Charm City Circulator bus (Banner Route, Cherry Route), or paid buses 94 or 71. For parking there is some at Fort McHenry but it is limited so you can also park near Latrobe Park or at the lot near Diamond Back Brewery if you plan to have lunch there afterwards.
This event is brought to you by the Digital Experiences Company - helping you travel with like minded travel lovers through adult groups. If you want to see cherry blossoms in other countries check out the spring trips to Japan and South Korea. Don't forget $100 off your first trip.
