Baltimore SharePoint User's Group Monthly Meetup
Details
Join us for Thursday's BSPUG meeting as we host an informative session on the benefits of using jQuery and KnockOut delivered by Jay Landrum
In this talk you will learn how easy it is to extend SharePoint lists using just client side technology. Server side code and complicated XML have always been an obstacle adding custom functionality to SharePoint. With the focus shifting towards client side solutions, SharePoint 2013 provides new and unique ways to incorporate custom behavior. Using established javascript libraries such as jQuery and Knockout, it's possible to quickly create rich custom interface extensions to any SharePoint list that provide a similar amount of functionality as server side code. This talk will focus on building a custom rendering template from scratch using just javascript and the SharePoint 2013 rest services.
Doors open at 6pm.
We have food and soft drinks available.
There is no entry fee or cost for food.
Each month, we host a guest speaker to deliver a SharePoint focused topic.
Keep in mind to watch @baltsharepoint on twitter, or an update to this newsletter for updates on weather related information.
