On this photo workshop, we will tour and photograph the grounds and selected buildings of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Your workshop instructor will take you to some of the best photo locations and angles in "The Yard," as the campus of the Naval Academy is known to its Midshipmen. At the same time, he'll regale you tales of the history of the Naval Academy and the architectural significance of the buildings you'll visit.

Sites we'll visit and photograph include the recently-renovated Main Chapel*, Bancroft Hall (the world's largest, and most definitely neatest and cleanest, dormitory), the crypt of John Paul Jones, and the Commodore Uriah P. Levy Center and Jewish Chapel.

Your leader for this Safari will be Steve Rosenbach, an award-winning photographer and popular photo tour guide and instructor. Steve has been photographing in Annapolis for over fifteen years - he knows where the best photos are and will show you how to make compelling images you might otherwise pass right by.

*Please note: The interior of the Main Chapel may not be open to the public on any given day because of last-minute events such as funerals. In such cases, the workshop will be extended to include some of the most photogenic locations in Annapolis, just outside the grounds of the Naval Academy.
