Title (Talk #4 of 10): Godbolt Compiler Explorer

About:
Ever wonder how code actually executes on a computer? Do different compilers do things differently? does changing the architecture make a difference to the assembly generated? Do different languages optimize the same program in different ways? Is there a way to know all this without having to set up an ensemble of systems with multiple compilers?

Compiler Explorer is one of the tools in every compiler engineer and software enthusiast's arsenal. It allows you to effortlessly break down and analyze programs, use tools, compare the effect of different flags and optimizations, and even gives you information about ASM instructions! All while being free to use and open source! and making it trivial to share your findings with peers.

Come join us as we explain how to leverage this amazing tool, and how you can use it to foray into the world of compilers!
