Sign-up required — limited seats

If you enjoy writing, storytelling, experimenting with ideas, or simply want to spend some focused time being creative, come join us.

The idea is simple: bring together a small community of people who enjoy writing, give ourselves a few prompts, switch off from everything else for a while, and write.
You do not need to be a published writer or even consider yourself a “writer”. All levels of experience are welcome.

How the meetup works
We’ll start with quick introductions, and then choose from a few writing prompts.
We’ll write independently for around 30 minutes.
Afterwards, anyone who wants to can read what they’ve written to the group. Sharing is completely optional.
There will be no formal critique or feedback session. The goal is not to judge or improve anyone’s writing — it is to create a comfortable space to write, experiment, listen to others, and find inspiration.

What can you write?
Anything.
Short fiction, poetry, scenes, dialogues, memoir, essays, experimental writing, or something that doesn’t fit neatly into a category.
Most people may write in English, but you are welcome to write in any language you’re comfortable with.

Prompts
I’ll bring a few prompts for the session.
If you have an interesting writing prompt of your own, bring it along too. Over time, I’d like this to become a community where everyone contributes ideas and inspiration.

What to bring
Bring whichever writing setup works for you:

  • Pen and notebook
  • Laptop or tablet
  • Your drink of choice from the café
  • Curiosity and an open mind

A few community guidelines -- RSVP responsibly. Since this will be a small café meetup, seats are limited. Please only RSVP if you genuinely intend to attend.
If your plans change, please update your RSVP so someone else can take the spot.

Most importantly - Don’t apologise for your writing.
First drafts can be strange, unfinished, messy, funny, personal, ambitious, or completely unexpected. That is part of the point.
The aim is to build a regular creative writing community in Bangalore where people can meet, write together, exchange inspiration, and enjoy the process without pressure.
If that sounds like your kind of Sunday, join us.
Happy writing!
