Title: Prototyping Vivaldi, a simple distributed algorithm, in Elixir

Description: Vivaldi is a decentralized algorithm which predicts round trip times between nodes in the cluster by assigning co-ordinates to each node. A modified version of Vivaldi is used in Hashicorp's Serf and the Vuze BitTorrent client.

Talk will cover:

  1. How the algorithm works.

  2. Highlight Features of Elixir/OTP such as the actor model, process discovery and pattern matching which helps prototype the algorithm quickly.

Second Talk by Sarat Chandra (@iamd3vil)

Distributed PubSub in Elixir

A demonstration of Erlang's distribution capabilities using a Simple Chat. Also, we will talk about how to use pg2 for PubSub, with a code demo.

If anyone still wants to give a talk please contact, I think we can push in one more talk.
