Jog falls, Yana Caves and Murudeshwar

Jog falls is the most spectacular waterfall of Western ghats. With a plunge of 830 feet, it is the second highest waterfall of India.

Yana is known for the two unusual karst rock formations - Bhairaveshwara & Mohini Shikhara. The place and surrounding hillocks are known for the rainforests.

Want to add some spice in the itinerary? We will travel through the Ghats to reach this place and stay in a homestay surrounded by greenery and a garden of supari and cashew plantations at the backside.

Sunday:
15:20 - Catch “12619 Matsyagandha Exp” from LTT, Thane-15:45, Panvel-16:20

Monday:

06:00 - Reach Murudeshwar and freshen up. We will have breakfast and then visit the Temple, Gopura and the statue.
09:30 - Depending on the weather, we can either walk into the mangroves of Honnavar (if it rains less) or splash in a forest stream (if it rains more)
11:00 - Visit the famous suspension bridge of Sharavathi river
13:00 - Reach our homestay, freshen up and have lunch
16:00 - Visit the main view point of Jog Falls
17:30 - Boating in a nearby lake
21:00 - Have delicious home-made dinner (you will love it)

Tuesday:

06:00 - Get up early if you want to enjoy the morning mist of the Sharavathi region.
08:00 - Have breakfast and then bid goodbye to our caretakers.
11:00 - Explore the Yana Caves in the rainforests. If time permits, we can also visit Vibhuti Falls nearby.
14:00 - Lunch in a local village
17:00 - Catch “12620 Matsyagandha Exp” from Kumta Stn

Wednesday:
06:30 - Reach LTT (Panvel-05:15, Thane-05:55)

Fees: Rs.8000 per person

• For booking the trip, you need to pay Rs.4000 non-refundable advance.
• Participants from Pune can come to Panvel or Thane to board the train.

• Travel from Murudeshwar station in a non-AC bus
