This is a group for anyone interested in hiking in Thailand. All skill levels are welcome, but you should be physically active and able to do intermediate to moderately strenuous hikes. I started this group to meet other outdoor enthusiasts. I would like to plan day trips/overnight trips from Bangkok on the weekends (especially holiday weekends) to explore the beautiful natural areas of Thailand. Anyone with experience or knowledge of Thailand's nature areas and an interest in the outdoors is encouraged to join!

Mae Hong Son Backcountry Hike
Location not specified yetMae Hong son is known as one of the most secret provinces of Thailand. Even with the direct flight and twice bus service from Bangkok, the province is still difficult to reach. The province is hidden under the layer of mountain alpine, hill tribes villages, and the curvy road turns. Mae Hong Son is the hidden gem of Thailand for people who love mountains and the cold winter breeze.
Starting trip from Chiangmai, we're going to go on a four-days, three-nights backcountry hike the following day. During this four-day trip, we will witness one of the most breathtaking mountain vistas before making our way back to Chiang Mai on the final day.

Itinerary

Day 1
8.00: Pick up from Chiang Mai
14.00: Arrive at Mae Hong Son Province, we will meet up with the ranger and porter, transfer to the back of pickup and travel to trailhead.
15.00: Stars hiking, around 2 km from the trailhead to the campsite. We will reach the Doi Pui Luang Campsite, setup our tent and evening, we will leave hiking to the sunset spot.
- Then, we will return back for dinner and enjoy the rest of the night.
Day 2
Early morning: Hiking to the sunrise viewpoint. Then we return to campsite for breakfast.
8.00: Breakfast and tidy up our campsite
9.00: From Doi Pui Luang Campsite - to Doi Sango
- Our first hike is around 8.5km (around 4 -5 hours) walking along the mountain ridge, up the mountain, down the valley. Once we get to the campsite, we will setup the tents.
19.00: Dinner and enjoy the rest of the holiday night
Day 3
8.00: Breakfast
9.00: From Doi Sa-ngao campsite - to Doi Lejo Campsite.
- Distance is around 5km, take around 5 hours
- This will be difficult hike, going up and down over the three -steeply hills. Once we arrive to Lejo campsite, we will setup the tent. We can see sunset and sunrise from our campsite.
Day 4
7.00: Breakfast
8.00: From the stop at Doi Lejo - return to the village.
- Distance around 4 km, take around 3-4 hours. The trail today is mostly descending.
- The first km of the way is a steep downhill path with a rope climb. After that is a long flat until the end of the trail
12.00: The pickup truck is waiting for us at the end of the hike. We transfer to the back of the pickup truck and ride back to the village where we are going to meet our van. We can take a shower at the village, change into dry, clear clothes.
14.00: Transfer back to Chiang Mai.
19.00: Arrive to Chiang Mai drop you off at your hotel in Chiangmai city and end of the trip

Magical Boy Trail
Soi Wutthakat 24, Khet Thon Buri, Kr, THFollowing the Thai FolkTale story of SangThong, a magical boy with Giant Stepmother with the sad ending which is the origin of the mountain we are going to hike.
This Forest Park is one of the the newest unseen series of thailand in 2021. The trail is fairly suitable for beginners or people who are interested to have an easy day out of Bangkok with minimum preparation. We are also going to visit Khao Yoi Cave Temple on the way back to Bangkok

07.55: Meet at the Gas Station near Wutthakat BTS Station
08.00: Van leaves from the station driving to Phetchaburi Province.
09.30: Arrive at Khao Yoi Cave Temple. Hike up to visit the buddha in the cave on the top of the hill, discover the cave then before we go, we are going to visit the main temple in the underground cave.
11.30: Arrive at Khao Nang Phanthurat Forest Park. Lunch & Get ready for the hike.
12.00: Start hiking the forest park loop to visit sites and viewpoints, following the urban legend of SangThong folk tale.
16.00: Return back to Bangkok
18.30-19.00: Arrive back to Bangkok and end the trip

One day adventure hike in Kanchanaburi
Soi Wutthakat 24, Khet Thon Buri, Kr, THOne day adventure trip from Bangkok, We are going to climb a new peak to see the view of Kanchanaburi. This mountain is known by the locals as the Golden Holy Rock, as it is naturally placed near the edges at the peak without falling for hundreds of years, it also turns golden once it’s touched by the sun. After the hike, we are going to relax near the River Kwae and have lunch at Chaloem Phra Kiat Rama 9 Park, and end our trip at Meena Cafe to see the view of Tiger Cave temple along the rice field.

08.00: Van leaves from Gas Station near Wutthakat BTS. It takes around 2.30 hours to get there.
10.30: Arrive at In-Kwaen Mountain & get ready to climb up to the peak (1km on high and steep mountain climbing trail)
12.30: Back to the entrance, have lunch box at the temple.
13.30: Take a van to the Tiger Cave Temple.
14.00: Arrive at the Temple (Hike the stairs to visit the temple)
15.30: Back to the van and return to Bangkok
18.00: Arrive back to Bangkok and end the trip.
