Real-time Processing & Monitoring Dashboard
Abstract:
In today, there is a vast amount of data that can be leveraged to meet retail business needs, such as:
-Sales channels are diverse, whether through various branches or online channels via applications. Managing stock inventory is crucial. How can we monitor inventory in real-time?
-Promotional activities, especially on Black Friday, when stores release promotions to stimulate purchases. How can we see sales figures in real-time? For both of these challenges, we can use Apache Kafka to address the needs of monitoring inventory and sales in real-time. We can gather data from microservices and databases through Change Data Capture (CDC). This data comes from various systems with a variety of formats and types. We can then process the data in real-time to calculate sales figures and stock levels before displaying them immediately on a dashboard
