Essentials of Distributed NoSQL

Abstract:
This talk provides an overview of the architecture and functionality behind distributed NoSQL databases, which are designed for high scalability, availability, and fault tolerance across multiple servers. Unlike traditional SQL databases, NoSQL systems support unstructured data with a schema-less design, enabling horizontal scaling and flexibility for dynamic data requirements. Key components such as partitioning and replication ensure data balance and resilience, making NoSQL ideal for real-time applications. Kafka, a distributed streaming platform, complements NoSQL databases by enabling real-time data pipelines, allowing for seamless data ingestion and processing that supports event-driven architectures and analytics in distributed environments. Together, NoSQL and Kafka create a powerful framework for handling modern, data-intensive workloads.
