You live with a local family for a few nights on the island of Koh Yao Noi. Learn about the importance of the eco system from a local perspective, fish with the family and appreciate the balance that cannot be breached for this fragile eco-system to remain in good condition - supporting the livelihood of the local populace in a sustainable manner.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Phuket

Arrival to hotel, 17.20 pm. Pick up for Phuket Fantasea show with dinner. Transfer back 23.00 pm. Phuket Fantasea Show is the ultimate in night-time entertaining on the resort island of Phuket. The result is a stunning 140-acre theme complex, packed with a multitude of activities and entertainment: a Carnival village with games, handicrafts and shopping; a 4,000-seat theme restaurant offering a grand buffet of Thai and international cuisines; and a breathtaking Las Vegas-style theatrical show, where state-of-the-art technology and special effects enhance the grace and beauty of Thailand's myths, mysteries and magic in a wondrous extravaganza certain to delight the whole family.

Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai are a two of large islands in Phang Nga Bay, located between Phuket and Krabi province. This island are only local residents whose career are farmer, fisherman. In 2002, Koh Yao Noi gained worldwide attention after receiving the World Legacy Award for Destination Stewardship from Conservation International and National Geographic Traveler magazine for the eco-friendly homestay programs offered by its local residents.

Breakfast at Hotel, transfer to Bangrong pier where you will meet your local guide to visit Phang Nga Bay enjoy the amazing Caves and natural creature known as Jame Bond Island. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach. After that, transfer to Koh Yao Noi Homestay. The villagers welcome you and introduce us to Koh Yao Noi.

Day 3 : Koh Yao Noi Homestay (B,L,D)
Breakfast with family, Koh Yao Yai where you can swim, snorkeling and feeding the fish, Enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach. Sightseeing around the island and watch the beautiful sunset over the Andaman Sea before returning home with our host families.

Day 4 : Koh Yao Noi Homestay (B,L,D)
Breakfast with family, boat trip into breathtaking 4 Islands; Koh Poda , Chicken Island or Koh Khai, Railey Bay and Koh Tap. The highlight will be Koh Tap during the low tide you would be able to walk on the sand bank as a separated sea locally called “Talayweak”. It is one of the “Unseen Thailand”. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach. Later, we will bring you to astonishing islands. You will learn how local life is intimately connected to the rich natural resources of the Andaman Sea and see how our family practice environment friendly local farms; lobster, black kingfish, snapper, etc. You may experience feeding the fish with the farmer.

we wake early in the morning. We can go to see rubber processing, the main industry of Southern Thailand, or we can have breakfast at the colorful local market. Later, we go on a boat trip to the islands surrounding Koh Yao Noi. We can soak up the beautiful environment, learn about coastal resource management from our local guide, swim and relax. Alternatively, we can go trekking in the inland forest. In the evening, we have a Farewell Party to share experiences with our hosts.

Day 5 : Koh Yao Noi Homestay – Phuket (B,L)
Breakfast with family, you will have a sightseeing trip around the island by car to see local life of traditional local islander and visit local community. You will wonder how rice being grown next to the sea. Sometime, you may see the holy pond where fresh water come out among the sea water. Lunch will be served at your homestay.

Time to say goodbye to the family and depart by boat from Koh Yao Noi – Phuket at 12.00PM. Then, your driver is await to transfer you back to hotel.

Day 6 : Koh Yao Noi Homestay – Phuket
Breakfast at hotel, Today is our last day of the trip. We wish you a nice stay and join us again in the future.

(a) Cancellation for Africa Escapades Trips and Africa Escapades Independent Trips: The cancellation charges are expressed hereafter as a percentage of the total tour price, excluding insurance.
i. Cancellation 60 days or more before departure: Loss of deposit.
ii. Cancellation 59-30 days before departure: 50% of cost of services booked.
iii. Cancellation less than 30 days before departure: 100% of cost of services booked.
Africa Escapades Tailor Made trips may vary in cancellation policy from that detailed in this clause, and will be detailed at time of booking.
