Set against wide mountain views, Samnaksong Huai Nam Sai Charoentham is a Buddhist site modelled after Myanmar’s Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock), one of the world’s most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists and the second most significant in all of Myanmar. The original Golden Rock is revered for enshrining a hair relic of the Buddha, and this Thai interpretation echoes its iconic balancing boulder and hilltop setting.
As it is the countryside, there is so much of natural and cultural things to explore here ! Nature and culture immersion is our theme besides cafe hopping, social networking and language exchange. For this car pooling trip to Ratchaburi (2 hours drive from Bangkok), our vehicle is already half-filled with friends and looking for more positive vibes friends !
Schedule:
7am: We will depart in an air-conditioned van or car from pickup point near Asok, Nana or Phloenchit BTS.
9.30am: Arrive at Mon temple (Samnaksong Huai Nam Sai Charoentham).
10.15am: Leave for nearby Huai Nam Sai Market, which is a mon village or also known as Mae Kampong 2 - a village similar to the one in Chiang Mai. This is surrounded by nature, including mountains, trees and streams and near the border of Myanmar.
11.00am: Lunch at Huai Nam Sai Market
12.30pm: We will stop by for coffee at nearby cafes. There is plenty to choose from, from lemon farms to cafes with free roaming rabbits & ostriches.
After coffee, we will head back to Bangkok in the afternoon and expect to reach before 6.30pm.

1. Admission fee: 899 Baht
It covers the cost of car and driver rental, transportation round trip from Bangkok, fuel, toll, parking, admin (meetup) expenses etc.
Not include:
- Lunch or meals at Thai restaurants or cafes
- Entry tickets
- Insurance
- Personal expenses
2. Please don't be late, we provide 5 min grace period to be fair to others ;) ! Please also bring cap, sunblock etc.
3. Please RSVP & pay within 24 hours to reserve your seats (How to pay: Message the organiser here - please check your message box as Meetup does not send notifications. After payment, please send the confirmation slip.) If payment is not made, we'll move you to the waitlist or ‘not going’ list so as not to take up the limited seats.
- No refund: If you cancel 5 days before the event, we can only refund you when we find a new participant for the replacement.
