Sunflowers & Ancient Cities: From Lopburi to Phetchabun

Hidden in the plains of Phetchabun, Si Thep Historical Park is one of Thailand’s oldest ancient cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating back more than 1,500 years, Si Thep reflects layers of Dvaravati and later Khmer civilisation, with moated city remains, laterite sanctuaries and sacred ponds spread across a wide, open landscape. Calm and spacious, it’s an ideal place for slow walking, quiet reflection and connecting with history and nature.

For this car-pooling day trip from Bangkok, our vehicle is partially filled and we’re welcoming more positive-vibes friends to join. The theme is seasonal nature, culture and mindful eating 🌻. This will be our last trip for January 2026 ;)

7.00am: Depart Bangkok by air-conditioned sedan or van (pickup near Asok / Ploenchit / Nana BTS).
8.45am: Arrive at Hua Pli Market, Saraburi. Walk around the community market, browse local produce, snacks and artisanal goods in a relaxed countryside setting.
9.45am: Leave Hua Pli Market and drive 15min to sunflower field in Lopburi.
10.00am – 10.40am: Lopburi sunflower field🌻. Enjoy seasonal blooms and take photos (sunflower season typically runs mid-Nov through Jan).
10.40am – 11.00am: Drive 20 min to lunch place in Saraburi.
11.00am – 11.45am: Lunch at a local eatery in Saraburi with vegetarian/ vegan options.
12pm – 1.30pm: Drive from Saraburi to Si Thep Historical Park (≈1.5 hours).
1.30pm – 4pm: Explore Si Thep Historical Park with the inner and outer city zones, ancient shrines.
4pm – 5pm: Drive towards Saraburi / Pasak Chonlasit area.
5pm – 6pm: Greenland near Pasak Chonlasit 🌿
Short golden-hour stop: stretch legs, photos, fresh air by the dam area.
6pm: Depart for Bangkok.
8.30pm: Arrive back in Bangkok (traffic dependent).

1. Admission fee: 950 Baht.
It covers the cost of VIP van and driver rental, transportation round trip from Bangkok, fuel, toll, parking, admin (meetup) expenses etc.
Not include:
- Meals at Thai restaurants or cafes
- Entry ticket for attractions (if any)
- Insurance
- Personal expenses
2. Please don't be late, we can only provide 5 min grace period ;) !
3. We try to keep our VIP van seats comfortable with 9 to 10 seats max. As seats are limited, please RSVP & pay within 12 hours to reserve your seats (How to pay: Message the organiser here or add https://line.me/ti/p/SC5Q_Jycwz on Line - please check your message box as Meetup does not send notifications. After payment, please send the confirmation slip.) If payment is not made, we'll move you to the waitlist or ‘not going’ list so as not to take up the limited seats.
- No refund: If you cancel 2 days before the event, we can only refund you when we find a new participant for the replacement.
