December 13th, several Bangkok developer meetups will join together for a fun gameshow-like evening with prizes, silly music and a lighthearted coding tournament using any programming language you want. Think of it as a “World Cup of Code”. Come to watch or join -- even if you just watch, it’s a great learning experience!. Either way, please bring your laptop as the questions are so easy you will want to solve them from the audience or even join another team. / งานนี้ไม่จำกัดสาย ไม่จำกัดความรู้ ไม่จำกัดเครื่องมือ เพียงนำ laptop คู่ใจของคุณมา ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Mac, Windows หรือ Linux ก็สามารถเข้าร่วมงานแข่งขันได้ทั้งนั้น

The questions are simple, but the first to finish wins. For example “The complete text of Pride and Prejudice is available at http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1342/1342-0.txt. Rules of the Game / กติกาการแข่งขัน

1. Qualification round (7pm sharp, 20min). Anyone present with a laptop can enter. Any language you want.
   First 8 correct answers are in. No team? We will find one for you.

2. Tournament of 4 * 2-team matches, 2 semi finals and a final.

3. First team with the correct answer using any language wins. Should take under 20min

4. รอบคัดเลือก เริ่มเวลา 19.00 ใช้เวลา 20 นาที เพียงแค่คุณมีแลปทอปมาก็สามารถเข้าร่วมแข่งขันได้ ใช้ภาษาใดก็ได้ตามอิสระ จะฟอร์มทีมมาหรือจะมาคนเดียวก็ไม่ต้องกังวล เราจะหาทีมให้คุณเอง! 8 ทีมที่ตอบคำถามได้ถูกต้องและเร็วที่สุด จะได้ผ่านเข้ารอบ

5. แบ่งการแข่งขันเป็น 4 รอบ ใช้เวลารอบละ 20 นาทีในการแก้โจทย์ ทีมที่ตีโจทย์สำเร็จเป็นทีมแรกของแต่ละคู่จะได้เข้าสู่รอบตัดเชือก

6. รอบตัดเชือกจะแบ่งเป็น 2 รอบ แข่งกันทีมต่อทีม ใช้เวลา 20 นาที ผู้ชนะของทั้งสองรอบจะได้เข้าไปสู่รอบชิงชนะเลิศ

7. รอบชิงชนะเลิศใช้เวลา 20 นาที ทีมที่แก้โจทย์ได้ถูกต้อง และรวดเร็วที่สุดจะเป็นผู้ชนะไป

Fine print / เงื่อนไข

1. Teams are 3-5 people. One laptop per team. You will be live coding up on the big screen.

2. Any programming language you want, as long as your IDE has a large font size.

3. To win, a team has to have the answer onscreen, generated from code, and announce it as the answer.

4. ผู้เข้าแข่งขันทีมละ 3-5 คน หนึ่งทีมใช้แลปทอปได้เพียง 1 เครื่อง และการแข่งขันจะถูกถ่ายทอดสุดขึ้นบนจอ

5. สามารถเขียนโค๊ดได้ทุกภาษา เพียงแค่ IDE ต้องใช้ฟอนท์ Large

6. ทีมที่ชนะคือทีมทีแก้โจทย์จากการเขียนโค๊ด และประกาศคำตอบลงบนหน้าจอได้ถูกต้องและรวดเร็วที่สุด
