What we’re about

A COMMUNITY OF STORY LOVERS
Love a good story? So do we! We're building a vibrant community of storytellers and story-listeners in Bangkok inspired by The Moth, the renowned U.S.-based nonprofit that celebrates the art of true, personal storytelling. Check out some of their stories here!

Our goal? To create a space where people can connect, share, and listen to real-life stories—whether hilarious, heartwarming, or profound. Don't like being the center of attention? That's fine too! Our storytellers need kind, responsive and encouraging audience members to help them grow their storytelling skills!

WHAT TO EXPECT
We typically meet at a restaurant or cafe near Phrom Phong BTS, on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Events usually draw around 15-20 of our members, so we (try to) all sit in one large circle. We start with some casual storytelling games before settling in to hear some prepared story performances (8:30-9:30), ending the night socializing with our new friends :)

🔹 Meet & Mingle – Plenty of time before and after performances to make friends & build community
🔹 Storytelling Games – Casual storytelling opportunities for non-performers
🔹 Prepared Stories – Each month we announce a theme for any members that wish to prepare a story in advance

Whether you're a seasoned storyteller or just love to listen, come join us! Let’s build a community where meaningful stories create lasting connections.

Once a month, around 15-20 of our members meet to play casual storytelling games in a circle/small groups. We encourage everyone to take turns sharing true personal stories and actively listening to each other, with the goal of authentically connecting and building a community centered on shared human experience.

Afterwards, we have an open-mic for any prepared story performances on this month's theme, then hang out until the venue closes :)

🎯 This Month’s Theme: LOVE HURTS
Prepare a five-minute story about a love that made you go OUCH. The agony of deferred love, the misery of good love gone bad, or the anguish of unrequited love. Situationships, friend break-ups, bad romances. The good, the bad, and the ugly that you survived... or you inflicted. A love that "Hurts So Good."

Hurried projects that get sloppy due to deadlines, or writers block that is cured by the need for speed. How has your sprinting, rallying and blood pressure surging served you in the long run?
