BKK Machine Learning Meetup is back again to share interesting stories about machine learning research and applications. This time, we are pleased to have khun Kasedith Vardhanabhuti (Kas), Chief Strategy Officer at Sertis as our speaker. Khun Kas will share his expertise and experience in the field of investment management and talk us through the use of AI/ML in this industry.

Abstract of the talk:
The speaker will talk about his journey as an investor, sharing experiences at the biggest investment banks and hedge funds in the world, in fundamental investing and technical trading. The speaker will also discuss the key trends of the investment management industry and why he believes artificial intelligence is the future of the investment world.

Speaker bio:
Kas has Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Biochemistry from Oxford University and an MBA with a specialisation in Finance from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Kas has extensive hedge fund and public markets investing and trading experience at top-tier investment firms. He was formerly a Portfolio Manager, Analyst and Investor at Soros Fund Management, Davidson Kempner, Dymon Asia, Morgan Stanley. Currently, Kas works as the Chief Strategy Officer at Sertis, a fast-growing big data and AI company in Southeast Asia.
