What we’re about

Welcome to The Banned Books Collective

This is more than a book club—it’s a movement. The Banned Books Collective is a safe, inclusive space for free thinkers, expressive souls, and truth-seekers who believe in the power of the written word. Here, we read the stories others tried to silence—books that have been banned or challenged by schools, libraries, and governments for their raw honesty, bold ideas, and necessary truths.

In this club, we reclaim those voices. We dive deep into topics that others may try to erase: race, gender, identity, politics, mental health, history, and more. We believe reading is fundamental to personal growth and social change. Our goal is to spark meaningful dialogue, broaden our perspectives, and ensure that critical conversations are never pushed aside.

What You Can Expect:

Monthly Book Picks: Each month, we’ll spotlight a different banned or challenged book, followed by guided discussions—online or in person.

Safe Space Guarantee: All backgrounds, beliefs, and identities are welcome. Respect and open-mindedness are at the core of our community.

Group Growth: We’ll host themed events book discussions and creative expression nights (poetry, art, storytelling).

Connection & Community: Meet like-minded people who aren’t afraid to question the norm, share their truths, and think critically.

Together, we’ll create a space where books are never burned, voices are never silenced, and ideas are always free to fly.

Let’s read, resist and rise—one banned book at a time!
