# What We’re About

Baraboo Writers Blast is where writing gets lively. We’re a fun, welcoming group that dives into the real moments of our lives — the ones that turn into stories, surprises, and sometimes a little chaos on the page.

We meet monthly from 1:30–3:30 PM, a daylight-friendly time that keeps everyone safe from rural evening travel. As the seasons change and we gain more daylight, we may shift the meeting time to what works best for the group.

Every month brings a new spark. Right now, we’re exploring a Memoir Mapping arc, where even the smallest memory can open into something unexpected. Stories have a way of wandering, deepening, and revealing more than we planned — and we use simple, practical tools to help shape them without getting lost.

This is a collaborative space: we write, we share, we laugh, we take creative risks, and we support each other through the tangled parts. Every voice matters, and every story has a place at the table.
