**What is Barcamp?**

*BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences primarily focused around technology and the web. They are open, participatory workshop-events, the content of which is provided by participants.*

In short, it's an event where the content is decided by the community, as opposed to a panel of selectors as chosen by organizers. We, as planners, arrange for the infrastructure and give people a platform to speak about anything. We prefer discussions as opposed to speeches, and typical Barcamp sessions have a fair amount of discussions. The sessions are selected on the event day on a first-come, first-serve basis.

**When and where it is?**
It's on Nov 5, 2022 at RV University, Bangalore.

**Is it a paid event?**
No, the event is completely free. We rely on sponsors to cover the costs of running the event.

**Does it have alcohol, liquor or is it in a bar?**
Well, not quite - we get asked if it's anything to with liquor, but no. That said, if you'd like to talk about how to choose the right whiskey, well you're welcome to propose a session :)
