In-person and online panel with three experts on the upcoming 1st Conference Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels in Colombia (April 24-29)

The environmental social association ESAlogika and Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals Alumni Association, in collaboration with Esfera Climática and the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative are organizing an expert panel on April 24 at 6:30 p.m. to inform about the 1st International Conference for the Transition Beyond Fossil Fuels (April 24-29, Santa Marta, Colombia).🌍

Spain will be represented at the conference, and Minister Sara Aagesen has confirmed her attendance. However, this conference is relatively unknown to the Spanish public. This panel aims to raise awareness about the importance of this conference and the process it initiates.
The panel will feature Olga Alcaraz Sendra, Guillem Rius Taberner, and Marta Torres Gunfaus, who will share their perspectives on the social, economic, and political possibilities offered by the transition beyond fossil fuels.
The panel will be moderated by Andrea Arnal Martín, coordinator of Esfera Climática, a network of scientific spokespeople on climate change**. You can attend in person in room 24.112 of the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, or virtually via Zoom and YouTube. Links to connect to the Zoom and YouTube live session will be shared on this page before the event.**

🌱The 1st International Conference for the Transition Beyond Fossil Fuels is a historic event and if you cannot travel to Santa Marta, the next best thing you can do is learning more about it through this panel. We are looking forward to seeing you and we will welcome all your questions!

We will begin at 6:30 PM sharp. Please try to arrive at IBEI or connect online around 6:15 PM to give yourself time to find the room or check that your Zoom and/or YouTube connection is working properly 😊

The room has capacity for 60 people. We may not be able to accomodate everyone in person and if so, we will have to ask the remaining attendees to join online instead.
