Degrowth and the Future of Business: Rethinking Prosperity

Degrowth challenges growth-driven capitalism by rejecting harmful industries like fast fashion, fossil fuels, private jets, and industrial meat and dairy. Instead, it emphasizes solidarity, unions, and community cooperation to build sustainable systems that prioritize collective well-being over profit and endless expansion. This workshop is part of the series of events called Tapa Talks, facilitated by Environmental Social Association - ESA Logika. We put a lot of effort into designing these events to provide access to free education and idea-sharing space. 🌱Swap Shop🌱: To encourage circular economy - Bring your pre-loved items like a book, a mug, or a painting with you and give your items an opportunity to find a new home. They will be laid out on a table during the mid-event break for everyone to see and pick! (No clothing please, but accessories are more than welcome) What a great way to reduce waste!

This month's speaker, Daragh Cogley, is a Barcelona-based Sustainability & Economics Professor at EADA University, and sustainable business professional with a focus on fashion, degrowth and regenerative business. He was a leading author of the first ever EU Bioeconomy Youth Vision, and co-author of the ‘One day at a Time, Daily' Sustainability Calendar. He will explain the concept of Degrowth and will be there to answer all your questions about it.
