WHAT ARE the Festes de Gràcia?

The Festes de Gràcia (or Festa Major de Gràcia) is Barcelona's most beloved neighborhood festival, celebrated every August in the vibrant Gràcia district.

Dating back to 1817, this week-long celebration honors the neighborhood's patron saint with elaborately decorated streets, live music, traditional Catalan activities like castells (human towers), and endless street parties!

What makes it special: neighbors spend months creating handmade themed decorations using recycled materials, transforming entire streets into immersive art installations. Each decorated street competes for the best design, and the themes are kept secret until the festival begins!

WHAT WE'LL DO:

• Gather at Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia around 19:00 PM
• Walk through the decorated streets as they're unveiled to the public
• Explore different themed installations while soaking in the festive atmosphere
• Enjoy the opening night vibe with live music and street performances
