Welcome to the Barcelona Gifted & Intense 2E Minds Community!
I'm Lea, and after years of searching for people like me, I decided to create this space for "intense" people to feel like home. By intense I mean us who have received weird labels (or suspicion of) like 2E or 3E or "just" Gifted (a gift really? yes, but only in the right environment :D). I speak English, French, and Spanish, and all languages are welcome though our main language is English/Spanish.
This space is for those who are looking to:
- Connect deeply with like-minded people
- Self-development, by reflecting on others to understand themselves better
- Feel understood, in our own "normal"
- Stimulation, fun and regulation for curious & intense minds
How do we do it?
- Relaxed meetups: picnics, walks around the city, grabbing a coffee, or exploring a museum. Moments to share, connect, and relax without pressure.
- Thematic workshops: where we delve into various aspects of neurodivergence, self-awareness, and personal development.
- Networking and "party-style" events: dynamic gatherings to enjoy great company and have fun in a more informal way.
If you're someone who feels like the world moves too slowly or experiences intense thoughts and emotions, here you'll find a place to be your true self.

### Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Can I join the community if I don't have a formal diagnosis/ detection?
Yes, you can join us even if you don't have a formal diagnosis/detection. However, you will need to attend an Open Event. Most events are only open to members that have gone through the application process. One of my goals is to create a space for those who suspect they are neurodivergent but don’t yet have an official evaluation. From personal experience, being around others who share similar experiences can help you navigate your own feelings and guide you toward seeking a formal diagnosis or assessment if desired. But it needs to be done in a different space from our regular meetups that I aim at keeping "psychologically safe". Hope it makes sense!
2. I’ve just been diagnosed. Is this the right time to join?
Absolutely! If you've just been diagnosed, this is the perfect time to come and meet us. Here, you'll find a welcoming and supportive space to connect with others who share your experience. Please apply first for membership here on LUMA.
3. Are you just curious and want to learn more about intense people?
You're welcome too! If you're simply curious about neurodivergence or want to learn more about intense individuals, this is the place for you. I'll specifically mention in events if they are reserved for neurodivergent individuals or open to anyone interested (check for Open Events).

Soy Lea, y tras años buscando a personas como yo, decidí crear este espacio. Es un lugar para personas intensas (ya sea por altas capacidades, neurodivergencia 2E o 3E). Hablo inglés, francés y español, y todos los idiomas son bienvenidos, aunque el idioma que compartimos y usamos todos es el Inglès y el Castellano.
Este espacio es para quienes buscan:

1. ¿Puedo unirme a la comunidad si no tengo un diagnóstico /detección formal?
Sí, puedes unirte a nosotros aunque no tengas un diagnóstico / detección formal. De hecho, uno de mis objetivos es crear un espacio para quienes sospechan ser neurodivergentes, pero aún no tienen una evaluación oficial. Mi experiencia personal me ha enseñado que la sensación de estar rodeado de personas que comparten una experiencia similar puede ayudarte a orientarte y a buscar un diagnóstico o detección más formal si lo deseas. Sin embargo, podrás apuntarte solo a los eventos que llamo "OPEN EVENTS".
2. Acabo de ser diagnosticado/a. ¿Es este el momento adecuado para unirme?
¡Sí! Si acabas de recibir un diagnóstico, este es el momento perfecto para venir y conocernos. Aquí encontrarás un espacio comprensivo y acogedor para conectar con otros que comparten tu experiencia. Puedes aplicar a la membresía aquí en LUMA.
3. ¿Solo eres curioso/a y quieres aprender más sobre personas intensas?

Muchas veces vivimos las cosas con más intensidad, pensamos demasiado, sentimos demasiado, o tenemos dificultades para encontrar espacios donde hablar con honestidad sobre lo que realmente nos pasa.
Este círculo online es un espacio para compartir, escuchar y encontrar resonancia con otras personas que viven experiencias similares.
Las sesiones están facilitadas por Mariana, terapeuta certificada especializada en perfiles 2E, lo que permite que las conversaciones se desarrollen en un entorno seguro, respetuoso y bien sostenido.## Sobre la facilitadora
Mariana Moreira Alves es coach certificada y psicóloga especializada en perfiles 2E (doblemente excepcionales) y neurodivergencia; siendo ella misma 2E y miembro de la comunidad. Acompaña a personas Audhd, Gifted, 2E etc.. a comprender mejor su funcionamiento emocional, integrar su intensidad y desarrollar formas más sostenibles de relacionarse con el mundo.
En este círculo, Mariana facilita la conversación para que el espacio sea seguro, respetuoso y enriquecedor para todos los participantes.
No es terapia individual ni un grupo clínico.
Es un espacio de apoyo y reflexión guiado, donde podemos explorar nuestras experiencias con autenticidad y acompañamiento profesional.Algunas sesiones pueden centrarse en temas como:

A guided space to share and understand the experience of intense minds.
Being 2E (twice-exceptional), gifted, or neurodivergent can be deeply enriching… but also emotionally complex.
Many of us experience life with greater intensity: we think deeply, feel strongly, and often struggle to find spaces where we can speak honestly about what we are really going through.
This online circle is a space to share, listen, and find resonance with others who live similar experiences.
The sessions are facilitated by Mariana, a certified therapist specialized in 2E profiles, helping ensure that conversations unfold in a safe, respectful, and well-held environment.***
## About the facilitator
Mariana Moreira Alves is a certified professional coach and psychologist specialized in 2E (twice-exceptional) profiles and neurodivergence, and is herself 2E and part of the community.
She supports AuDHD, gifted and 2E individuals in better understanding their emotional patterns, integrating their intensity, and developing more sustainable ways of relating to themselves and the world.
In this circle, Mariana gently facilitates the conversation so that the space remains safe, respectful, and meaningful for everyone present.***
This is not individual therapy or a clinical group.
It is a guided space for support and reflection, where we can explore our experiences with authenticity and professional facilitation.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER HEREOn Tuesday evenings, we open a small intellectual salon for gifted, 2E and deeply curious minds. The topic is different each time.
Many of us spend our days under-stimulated by the conversations and environments around us.
This space exists to bring the kind of intellectual and emotional stimulation that intense minds naturally seek.
Inspired by the old European salons, we gather to explore ideas, knowledge and questions that deserve deeper attention.At each session, one or two members introduce a topic they find fascinating, something they have been exploring, reading or thinking about.
The mini talk lasts about 10–15 minutes, followed by open discussion with the group.
The goal is not to give lectures, but to share curiosity and think together.
Topics can range widely: science, psychology, technology, philosophy, culture, history or systems thinking.
Over time, the salon may also become a place where ideas, reflections and collaborations slowly emerge from these conversations.

Salón Intelectual / Gifted Zoo
Conversaciones profundas para mentes intensasCada martes por la noche abrimos un pequeño salón intelectual para personas gifted, 2E y mentes profundamente curiosas.
Muchos de nosotros pasamos gran parte del día infraestimulados por las conversaciones y entornos que nos rodean.Este espacio existe para recuperar el tipo de estimulación intelectual y emocional que las mentes intensas buscan de forma natural.
Inspirados en los antiguos salones europeos, nos reunimos para explorar ideas, conocimientos y preguntas que merecen una conversación más profunda.
En cada sesión, uno o dos miembros presentan brevemente un tema que les apasiona o que han estado explorando recientemente.
La mini exposición dura aproximadamente 10–15 minutos, y después abrimos una conversación y debate con el grupo.El objetivo no es dar una conferencia, sino compartir curiosidad y pensar juntos.
Los temas pueden venir de muchos ámbitos: ciencia, psicología, tecnología, filosofía, historia, cultura o sistemas.
