The Psychology of Homelessness

Details

Walk around any city and it doesn't take long to see the homeless. We see them, we may ask ourselves fleeting questions but how much can we know when it's such a life removed from our own?

What does it mean to be homeless? Why do you become homeless and who becomes it? And once you are homeless can you ever stop being homeless?

What goes on in your head and what does this do to your mental health? How do you, and can you ever, adapt and get used to living on the street?

This session aims to address these questions from the perspective of someone who has lived this life, as described in the book A Homeless Journey.
