Taiheki (体癖) is a concept from Japan’s Seitai tradition that connects how we hold and move our bodies with the way we think, feel, and relate to others.

It suggests that each of us has a natural “body tendency” - patterns in posture, movement, and balance - that also shape our personality and emotional style.

In this session, we’ll introduce the idea of Taiheki. We’ll look at how body and mind are seen as one in Seitai culture, explore the different Taiheki “types,” and open up discussion about how these ideas might help us better understand ourselves and the people around us.

Join Jesús for a talk on this fascinating philosophy.
