This month, we will focus on Giga, the groundbreaking United Nations partnership committed to connecting every school globally to the internet by 2030.

Attendees will hear about the cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions developed by Giga, unlocking universal school connectivity and transforming the landscape of global education. Compelling country stories and testimonies from across the globe will be shared.

The presentation will explore in particular how technological innovations can effectively tackle challenges both globally and locally. It will examine the influence of connectivity on education and socio-economic growth, emphasizing the cross-cutting role it plays in attaining Sustainable Development Goals.

SPEAKERS BIO
Aleksandra Chmielewska is partnership development expert, specializing in the intersection of technology for social good and innovation. Her background spans the non-profit and governmental sectors in Poland, Switzerland, France, and Spain. Beyond Giga, Aleksandra serves as an advisor to the European Commission on international cooperation projects.

Shilpa Arora is the Data Product Lead at Giga, UNICEF. She has 10+ years of experience in data and tech ecosystem. Before joining UNICEF, she was part of tech startups in data science, machine learning and data governance products domain. She is a guest university lecturer on analytics and machine learning as well.
