Talk 1: A beginner's introduction to Julia
Speaker: Pere Giménez, Data Science Advocate at Genie
We’ll begin the evening with an introduction to Julia, exploring its core features, benefits, and applications. This short talk is ideal for newcomers and those interested in understanding why Julia is becoming a preferred language in scientific computing and beyond.

Talk 2: ASML's Julia Journey
Speaker: Jorge Vieyra, Senior Development Engineer at ASML
Gain insights into how ASML, a leader in the semiconductor industry and the most valuable high tech company in Europe, is leveraging Julia in their operations. This talk will cover the motivations for adopting Julia, the challenges encountered, and the successes achieved.

Talk 3: From Matlab to Julia: learnings
Speaker: Gareth Thomas, Co-Founder at VersionBay, scientific software developer and Matlab expert
The presentation will cover 4 projects Gareth undertook to immerse himself in Julia. It reflects the challenges and discoveries he encountered during his initial 10 hours with Julia, coming from a Matlab background.
